Evaluation Policy: The final grade will be based on two exams (a midterm exam and a non-cumulative final exam), homework assignments, and your performance during the trial of Galileo. The date of the midterm exam is listed on the class schedule. The final exam will take place on Monday, April 30 from 8:00-10:00 PM in BB 219.

Missed exams, assignments, and activities will be assessed a grade of zero.  Late assignments will be penalized 50% and must be handed in before the following class. If a student misses an exam because of a valid reason, the student will be allowed to make up that exam within one week at a time and place to be agreed upon. Students may make up no more than one exam. Students who miss the final exam because of a valid reason will receive no grade (NG). The University’s grading policy is detailed in the Ram’s Eye View.

Homework: Homework assignments will be posted on the class homepage Monday. Homework papers will be due the following Monday in lecture. Although students are encouraged to solve homework problems in study groups, each student must submit his/her own assignment; copying is not allowed. Answers deemed too similar will be assessed a grade of zero. Students who wish to submit their assignments electronically must submit their answers via e-mail to mgagne@wcupa.edu before lecture.
